From New Jersey, Michael Zager is a talented producer, arranger, singer and songwriter.

Throughout the mid-70's and into the early '80s Michael Zager had a high profile on the R & B and disco scene, primarily as a producer.

During this period he worked with many soul artists including Peabo Bryson (on his debut album in 1975), Johnny 'Guitar' Watson (on his album 'That's What Time It Is'), Patti Day, Ronnie Dyson, Saint & Stephanie (in 1979), Cissy Houston (in 1979), The Detroit Spinners ('Cupid / I've Loved You For A Long Time' in 1980) and Alvin Fields on 'Special Delivery' in 1981.

As an artist he formed The Michael Zager Band and scored a disco hit with 'Let's All Chant' (UK Top 10) on the Private Stock label in 1978.

In 1980, his album 'Zager' included the single 'Time Heals Every Wound' featuring the lead vocals of Deniece Williams.

The album also featured two co-lead vocal performances by Luther Vandross.

Later, Michael graduated from University of Miami and the Mannes College of Music.
