Frederick hails from Cleveland, Ohio and is one of eight family children.
He is best known for his, self titled, album on the Heat Record label in 1985.
His previous history took him into the U.S. Navy and a period as a boxer, boxing in the 1976 Olympic boxing team.
'Frederick' was his only album outing with the tracks 'Gentle' and 'Games' being particularly popular.
