Clarence was born in New Orleans on 19th March, 1937, relocating to the Algiers neighbourhood in 1948, where he resided for the rest of his life.

He was an American rhythm and blues singer and pianist, best known for his hits ‘Ain't Got No Home’ (in 1956) and ‘(I Don't Know Why) But I Do’ (in 1961).

Clarence Henry II died in 2024. Clarence was 87.
