Brandi Wells was a Soul Singer based in Philadelphia.
She first appeared professionally in the group the Twilights while still at school.
Those recordings were for the Harathon label (at the age of 9), on the songs 'Shipwreck' and 'It's Been So Long'.
Another member of the band was Ellis Hall.
In 1972, she left to join Major Harris's backing singers Brown Sugar.
Breeze then evolved into Slick who had a UK Top 20 hit 'Space Bass' in 1979 and then charted with 'Sexy Cream' shortly afterwards.
She also sang the song 'Sunrise' for the group in 1980.

She made the US R & B charts with 'When It's Love' in 1981 and the album's title track became her biggest hit, making the R & B Top 40 and the bottom of the UK charts.
'I Hate To See You Go' also received airplay on the more discerning soul music radio stations.
A second album '21st Century Fox' was released on the Omni label in 1985.
Brandi was married to Terry Price.
Brandi Wells passed away on the 25th March 2003 in Chester County, Philadelphia, and was laid to rest in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
