George Reid

George Reid has been a great support to this old fool over the last five years. Firstly, he is a very good deejay.

Secondly, he has immaculate taste in music, which I guess many pundits would describe as 'eclectic'.

This is great in as much as he has no musical 'blinkers on' regarding all genre's of this convaluted mish mash that constitutes the Black music we all know and love.

George has a great show on Fresh Air going on in Edinburgh in Scotland from time to time.

Technologically, he is a bit of a Luddite (as I am), therefore, tapes made their way here, of his old shows, and I put together a system that looked a little like Dick Van Dyke's set up in 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', in order to back up some of them for the man!

George's show is a 'must listen'. Very knowledgeable follower, as I mentioned, of all aspects of Black Music. He has an open mind regarding Blue Eyed Soul, which makes his shows engaging listening.

He wrote to me 'Many many thanks for all that you have done for me over the years, comrade'.

Personally, I feel George has helped me in the same manner!

George's 2007 shows can be picked up here every Saturday (regular date from now on) between 2p.m. to 3.30pm every Saturday (U.K.time)
